Job summary

Artheon is seeking fresh civil engineering graduates to support transportation and infrastructure projects in Camden, NJ. You will perform on-site field inspections, read plans, and assist with office engineering tasks for highways, bridges, and airports.

The role requires availability for night shifts and occasional weekends, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. NJDOT familiarity is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in an active construction environment.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, overtime, and occasional weekends as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on highway, bridge, airport, and transportation infrastructure construction projects.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, field documentation, and project records.
• Assist with Office Engineer responsibilities, including reviewing construction documentation and coordinating project information.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, project managers, contractors, and client agencies.
• Support materials testing, quality assurance, and project closeout documentation as required.
• Work on-site daily, with availability for night shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends based on project schedules.
