Job summary

Artheon is hiring an Entry Level Construction Inspector to support field inspections on highways, bridges, and airports in Berlin, NJ. The role requires interpreting plans, overseeing materials testing, and preparing reports, with daily on-site work and possible night shifts.

Fresh civil engineering grads are welcome; NJDOT/NJ Turnpike project exposure is a plus. Valid driver's license and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specs and tech docs.
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in active construction environments.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Perform field inspections on highways, bridges, airports, and transportation projects.
Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specs, safety and quality.
Read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, specs, and contract docs.
Prepare daily inspection reports and project records; assist with Office Engineer duties.
Coordinate with Resident Engineers, PMs, contractors, and client agencies.
Support materials testing, QA, and project closeout documentation as required.
On-site daily work with potential night shifts, overtime, and weekends.
