Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to support our Foundations district across North America. You will split time between field and office tasks, performing engineering work on underground and foundation projects, including quantity takeoffs, scheduling, and coordination with crews.

You will participate in estimating, bid reviews, and cost controls while learning from experienced engineers. Travel and relocation are expected as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (civil/mining/mechanical/geotechnical/construction management).
• Previous experience in construction or mining is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationwide during the career.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Field Engineering: interpret drawings/specs for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations from measurements and materials.
• Prepare work plans and work packages.
• Support field surveying and layout, including elevations and control points.
• Compile daily labor timesheets and assist in JHA preparation.
