Motorola Solutions is seeking a Junior Field Applications Engineer for CRFS at its U.S. Headquarters in Reston, VA. The role supports senior engineers in RF spectrum monitoring projects, assists with field deployments, and helps operate and test demo equipment to build hands-on expertise.

You will learn to deliver customer training, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with sales to prepare demonstrations, while traveling up to 25–50% domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Relevant military technical school experience may substitute a degree.
• Experience: Entry to early-career (0-3 years).
• Strong desire to learn and grow in a hands-on technical environment.
• ESD awareness for static-sensitive equipment.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking basics.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn specialized software/OS environments.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25–50%, domestic and some international.
• U.S. Citizen for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide local assistance to senior Field Applications Engineers and maintain demo equipment.
• Learn and deliver customer training on CRFS systems and software operations.
• Learn diagnostics and basic repairs on CRFS equipment.
• Assist with field deployment, installation, configuration, and testing.
• Contribute to test plans and project summary reports.
• Support Sales by preparing demos and technical presentations.
• Maintain and calibrate demonstration equipment inventory.
• Travel to customer sites and trade events as needed.
