Job summary

S.E.T., Inc. in Lowellville, OH is seeking a Junior Estimator to learn the estimating process from the ground up, including takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, and bid assembly, while supporting our Estimators and Preconstruction team on active pursuits.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and curious about how heavy civil work is priced, with opportunities to grow into an Estimator as the Preconstruction Department expands.

Qualifications

• Degree (or in progress) in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 0–2 years of construction estimating, project engineering, or related field experience
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365; willingness to learn Bluebeam and estimating software

Responsibilities

• Takeoffs & Plan Review — Assist with digital quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications under the direction of an Estimator
• Subcontractor & Supplier Support — Support subcontractor and supplier outreach, and help organize incoming pricing
• Bid Assembly & Opportunity Tracking — Assemble bid documents and scope sheets under supervision; track upcoming bid opportunities
• Organize bid files, addenda, and correspondence for active pursuits
