Job summary

Pace Analytical Services is seeking a Scientist to perform hands-on analysis in our environmental testing laboratory, ensuring the integrity and quality of environmental data that affects communities and ecosystems.

You will work with GC-MS instruments to analyze samples, review results, and document findings while maintaining proper PPE and lab safety standards. A STEM degree and lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM fields or equivalent training/experience.
• 8 chemistry credit hours with labs required.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, standing for long periods and using PPE.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments such as GC-MS to analyze environmental samples.
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis.
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly in lab records.
• Maintain, calibrate, and clean laboratory instruments and equipment.
