Pace, a leader in environmental testing, invites a Scientist to join our Volatiles department in Westborough, MA. You will perform hands-on analysis of environmental samples using GC-MS and GC-FID/PID, ensuring data integrity and quality for critical environmental decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM fields; training provided.
• Must have chemistry credit hours with labs from a college or university.
• Preferred experience or knowledge of GC-MS and/or GC-FID/PID.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, including standing, handling odors, and using PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform, support, and oversee the analysis of environmental samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods like GC-MS and GC-FID/PID.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality lab records.
