Job summary

Dominion Energy Virginia's Electric Transmission (ET) System Operations Center is seeking an Engineer or Engineering Technical Specialist to support the transmission grid and real-time operations. The role combines engineering analysis, protection schemes, and data analytics to improve reliability and efficiency.

You will develop automated tools, work with WAMS and PSSE, and coordinate with the Operations team to implement new practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering from ABET-accredited program or foreign equivalent.
• ABET/ Washington Accord recognition acceptable for international degrees.
• Electrical engineering or related discipline with strong math background.
• Electrical power transmission knowledge and protective relay experience.
• Programming in Python, C++, Java, or C# is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide operating guidance for transmission protection schemes.
• Develop automated tools to enhance shift operations.
• Collaborate with Operations and other departments on real-time issues.
• Integrate synchrophasors via WAMS for improved practices.
• Analyze data to improve reliability and efficiency.
