Job summary

Arizona Public Service Company (APS) seeks a Project Manager I to provide managerial and technical oversight for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing assigned projects. You will lead teams of five to ten people on projects typically six to eighteen months in duration with budgets up to $500,000, within a defined low-complexity scope.

Required are a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field plus two years of PM

Qualifications

Requires solid understanding of project management principles and methodology.
Two years of job-related project management experience required.
In lieu of a bachelor's degree, six years of experience in PM or related roles accepted.

Responsibilities

Plan, monitor and manage multiple smaller projects from initiation through closure.
Develop and present comprehensive project plans, budgets and schedules for sponsors.
Lead planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and risk troubleshooting.
Monitor performance and adjust schedules, costs or resources as needed.
Oversee schedules and ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
Ensure project results meet quality, schedule and cost targets.
Provide timely status updates to teams, management and sponsors.
