Job summary

Arizona Public Service, the state's leading energy provider, seeks a Project Manager I to oversee initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure of multiple projects. You will lead teams of five to ten people, manage budgets up to $500,000, and ensure scope, schedule and cost alignment with guidelines.

Qualifications

• A four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Plus two years job-related project management experience.
• In lieu of bachelor's degree, six years' combined college coursework and/or experience in managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plans, monitors and manages all aspects of multiple, smaller scale projects following internal methodologies.
• Develops and presents comprehensive project plans to sponsors and management; obtains approvals.
• Leads or coordinates planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting and troubleshooting.
• Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.
• Oversees schedules and directs team resources to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensures project results meet quality, reliability, schedule and cost requirements.
• Provides timely status updates to project teams, management and sponsors.
