Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to design, develop, and analyze low-level software and embedded systems for Windows and Unix. You will collaborate on DevOps practices, build software drivers, and support signal processing in a mission-critical context.

The role targets entry- to mid-level engineers, focusing on C, C++, and Python, with exposure to CI/CD workflows and modern deployment tools.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 0–4 years of experience developing applications for Windows and Unix-based systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python (C# or Java a plus).
• Experience with deployment/build tools like Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible and Packer.
• Exposure to CI/CD workflows using Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware architecture and low-level software interaction.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop software drivers, desktop, and client/server applications for Windows and Unix.
• Design and implement low-level embedded software in C, C++, and Python.
• Analyze OS, hardware architectures and interfaces for signal processing and system evaluation.
• Collaborate on DevOps by building and deploying infrastructure technologies.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment of software releases.
