Job summary

A Junior Software Engineer at AeroVironment will design, develop, and analyze low-level software and embedded systems for Windows and Unix environments. You will work with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and build software drivers and client/server applications.

The role emphasizes proficiency in C, C++, and Python, with exposure to tools like Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required for contract eligibility.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical discipline.
• 0-4 years of experience developing applications for Windows and Unix-based systems.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python (experience with C# or Java is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with deployment/build tools such as Artifactory, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and Packer.
• Exposure to CI/CD workflows using Jenkins or Bamboo.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware architecture and low-level software interaction.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Develop software drivers, desktop applications, and client/server apps for Windows and Unix.
• Design and implement low-level embedded software in C, C++, and Python.
• Analyze OS, hardware architectures, and interfaces for signal processing and evaluation.
• Collaborate on DevOps processes by building and deploying infrastructure technologies.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, integration, and deployment of software releases.
