Junior Email Marketing Automation Specialist with Large Media Company - Junior Level Role
12 Month Assignment
Open to Fully Remote in the US - working to PST Time or Local to San Diego
Pay Range: $26-$31/hr W2

  • Must have skills: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, understanding website development (HTML), email campaigns, strong communication skills
  • Nice to have: scripting w/ Python
  • Help develop email campaigns, understand what is driving the campaigns, and analyze data

Overview: Under the direction of our marketing strategy lead, the Marketing Ops Technologist will support different product categories by integrating strategy and creativity into inspiring and functional customer-facing assets. This role focuses on transforming creative documentation into adaptable, mobile-friendly digital assets. The Technologist will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on campaign and project goals.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and deploy marketing campaigns including email, CRM, and SMS
  2. Monitor deployed communications
  3. QA digital assets for responsiveness, mobile-friendliness, trackability, and functionality
  4. Use scripting to provide dynamic data to communications
  5. Support operational efficiency through process and documentation improvements
  6. Drive requirements for marketing automation platform implementation and integration
  7. Support special projects as assigned
Requirements and Preferred Skills:
  • 1-2 years of experience in campaign marketing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, computer science, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience with B2B and B2C marketing
  • Deep understanding of translating marketing requirements within large customer databases; email marketing experience required
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS
  • Scripting skills: JavaScript, C#, Python
  • Troubleshooting and issue resolution skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with MarTech platforms and Data Platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud; Salesforce Certification a plus

A plus if you have:

  • Advanced AMPScript experience
  • Testing/optimization methodologies
  • Project management skills
  • Self-critical, analytical, meticulous approach
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • SQL, relational databases, data-driven marketing experience
  • Server-Side JavaScript experience
  • Organized, able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Estimated Min Rate: $26.00
Estimated Max Rate: $31.00
