Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX seeks an Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to join the Advanced Products & Solutions Mission Area. You will contribute to architecture assessment, derive performance requirements, and assist in designing electro-optical systems with imagers, LIDAR, and directed energy concepts.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, active citizenship, and onsite work in McKinney. You will work within the EOSD department to provide systems engineering expertise across SAS projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optical Science, Engineering or Mathematics required by start date.
• Experience with electro-optical infrared imagery, focal plane technology, lenses or apertures.
• Experience with optical principles and imaging systems, including detectors and aberrations.

Responsibilities

• Assess systems architecture and derive design and performance requirements.
• Develop requirements for subsystems and units and support IV&V planning.
• Collaborate on verification activities to meet program requirements.
