Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to support the Advanced Products & Solutions Mission Area in developing EO systems including imagers, LIDAR, and directed energy components. The role covers requirements, design support, and IV&V planning.

You will assess system requirements, derive subsystem specs, and work within an EOS design team to deliver robust hardware and software solutions. U.S. security clearance is required for this onsite role.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physics, Optical, or related STEM major.
• Experience with electro-optical infrared imagery, focal plane tech, lenses, or apertures.
• Knowledge of optical principles and imaging systems.
• Hands-on optical testing or alignment experience.
• Experience may be from work, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to EOS system architecture and design.
• Lead integrated product teams and coordination.
• Develop and verify mission and system requirements.
• Assist in verification and validation activities for IV&V.
