Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an entry-level engineer to provide engineering and technical support under close supervision. You will develop your skills and gradually gain independence while contributing to project work in the field and office.

You will assist with problem identification, analyses, and recommendations, while learning to plan, estimate, and report on diverse engineering tasks. This role involves field visits, safety emphasis, and teamwork across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET/EAC accredited program or equivalent evaluation
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles
• Understanding of electricity and power quality; knowledge of distribution construction standards

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering/technical expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve problems
• Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor work activities
• Prepare detailed technical reports, correspondence, calculations, and sketches
• Support continuous improvement of engineering knowledge, skills, and performance
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed
