Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an entry-level professional to support our Engineering team in Fletcher, NC. The role combines office and field work, applying technical skills to design safe, reliable power distribution solutions while learning design tools and company workflows.

You will enter data accurately, develop foundational project requirements, and participate in continuous learning through mentorship and training with experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some client projects may require an Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school.
• 0–2 years of experience in power distribution engineering, electrical craft work, or GIS/CAD-related work.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site attendance is required; no remote work.
• Interpret and comply with applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures while maintaining project documentation.
• Assist with development of complete project and job packages, including drawings, material lists, estimates, and requisitions, using design software and work management tools.
• Prepare project packages—drawings, material lists, estimates, requisitions—using company and client design software.
• Provide regular project status updates and build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to meet timelines and objectives.
• Engage in continuous learning and mentorship from experienced team members and engineers.
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
