Job summary

Jaquith Consulting Group, Inc. (JCG) is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Document Controller to support the development, management, and maintenance of documents across the California High-Speed Rail Authority, ensuring compliance and integrity of the Document Control System.

The role emphasizes version control, metadata accuracy, training, audits, and dashboards to keep project leadership informed, with on-site duties in Sacramento and a full-time position with salary range $62,000–$90,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Records Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of document control experience on infrastructure, transportation, or public-sector projects.
• Familiarity with metadata, naming conventions, version control, and document classification.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain document control systems and workflows for submissions, approvals, and distribution.
• Assist with DCS setup, including folder structures, metadata, naming conventions, and user roles.
• Receive, log, and index incoming documents into the DCS with accurate metadata.
• Maintain master copies, track revisions, and ensure correct formatting and naming.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely submission and retrieval.
• Ensure compliance with QA/QC, ISO 9001 standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Archive documents and support audits or handovers at project completion.
• Develop and maintain the Document Control Management Guide (DCMG).
• Provide training and support on document control processes and tools.
