Peregrine Advisors is seeking a data engineer to build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and views in Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible). You will work with data from DynamoDB and S3 and contribute to data models within the established platform architecture.

You will tune data loads from S3, participate in governance, and help shape a scalable data platform for government clients. The role is hybrid in the Washington, DC area, with a strong emphasis on security and auditability.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of data engineering or related practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Working knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and views on Amazon Aurora (PostgreSQL-compatible).
• Familiarity with Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).
• Query tuning with guidance from a senior developer.
• Experience with ETL/ELT patterns across AWS data services.
• Awareness of data security controls, encryption, access management, and auditing.
• Introductory familiarity with logical data modeling and the ability to contribute to database-design decisions within an established platform architecture.
• Proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
