Job summary

SK hynix America is seeking a junior-level attorney to serve as legal counsel for its U.S. semiconductor operations. The ideal candidate will navigate complex legal issues and communicate effectively with procurement, R&D and sales teams in a fast-moving technology sector.

This onsite position in the Legal Affairs department reports to the General Counsel and Senior Corporate Counsel. Travel may be required to support cross-border and affiliate projects in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier U.S. law school is required.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience handling commercial transactions or corporate matters.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work across complex legal, business and strategic issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (procurement, R&D, sales) and vendor contracts under supervision.
• Provide clear legal advice to internal teams such as engineering, sales, finance, HR and operations.
• Conduct legal research and investigate regulatory or operational risks.
• Monitor relevant U.S. regulations affecting semiconductor operations.
• Coordinate with the parent company's legal team on cross-border matters and governance.
• Coordinate with legal teams of affiliates and subsidiaries within the United States.
