Job summary

SK hynix America is seeking a mid-level attorney to serve as strategic legal counsel for our new semiconductor manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, Indiana. The role requires broad expertise across commercial, regulatory, and government affairs, interfacing with Indiana operations, the San Jose office, and SK hynix HQ.

The candidate will draft and negotiate commercial contracts, ensure regulatory compliance, and help shape the legal strategy for a major semiconductor investment in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited US law school.
• Active membership in at least one US state bar.
• Minimum 4 years of law firm or in-house practice experience.
• Expertise in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience with construction/procurement contracts is a plus.
• Ability to liaise across US-based and international teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee legal aspects of establishing and operating the Indiana manufacturing facility, including commercial agreements and procurement contracts.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts with partners.
• Ensure compliance with US regulations affecting semiconductor operations.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide strategic legal guidance to management and cross-border teams.
• Coordinate with parent company legal on governance and cross-border matters.
• Manage relationships with federal, state, and local government agencies.
