Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an entry-level engineer to assist in managing construction projects. You will report to a Project Manager or Superintendent and coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to keep work on schedule.

You will help with estimating, budgeting, design clarifications, and change orders while ensuring quality and safety standards are met across project phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Strong coordination and communication skills for field teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to read drawings and understand project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors, and site subcontractors.
• Document and manage project contracts, purchase orders, schedules, and change orders.
• Support meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concerns.
• Ensure work aligns with quality standards and contract specifications.
• Assist in implementing project schedules and tracking milestones.
• Provide field support to superintendents to ensure site safety and compliance.
• Review drawings, submittals, and changes; monitor progress of trades.
