Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company seeks an Entry-Level Engineer to assist in managing construction projects under a Project Manager or Superintendent. You will coordinate with owner representatives, architects, engineers, and subcontractors; assist with estimating, bidding, and cost tracking; review drawings and change orders; and provide field support to ensure safety and quality on site.

Minimum BS in Engineering or Construction Management; ability to read specs and drawings; strong

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering discipline, Engineering Technology or Construction Management.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and basics to monitor expenses.
• Ability to read/understand technical specs, blueprints and drawings; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with project owner representatives, architects, engineers, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Assist in estimating and bidding processes and track costs to manage budgets.
• Resolve design issues and field questions; document change orders and contracts.
• Provide field support to superintendents to ensure safety, quality, and contract compliance.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals and progress with trades to meet milestones.
