Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is seeking a Business Consultant I to act as a liaison to applicants and stakeholders involved in the Third‑Party Administration of Class E Examinations. You will review, analyze, and approve applications and contracts per department policies.

You will assist with research, development, and monitoring of laws, rules, and regulations related to Florida driver education, and manage related contracts and insurance requirements

Qualifications

• The position requires the ability to plan, organize and direct program activities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to organize data for reports, training materials, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Department liaison to applicants and stakeholders in Third‑Party Administration of Class E Examinations.
• Review, analyze, and approve applications and contracts per Florida statutes and department policies.
• Assist with research, development, implementation, and monitoring of laws, rules, and regulations related to Florida driver education.
• Manage performance bonds, contract renewals, insurance requirements, and compliance with standards.
