Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks an Operations Manager A - SES to lead the Commercial Driver License and Third-Party Testing programs, developing and enforcing policies, and supervising staff as required.

This role requires knowledge of CDL programs, regulatory enforcement, and the ability to translate state policies into compliant procedures; occasional travel for meetings is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Commercial Driver Licensing program.
• Knowledge of regulatory enforcement program.
• Ability to apply governmental policy and procedures to assist and monitor compliance by private businesses and other agencies.
• Skill in using a computer.
• Skill in writing reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• This position is authorized to develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, and administer policies and procedures for the Commercial Driver License and Third-Party Testing program.
• Authorized to develop and administer confidential investigative activities to enforce Chapter 322.56, Florida Statutes.
