Job summary

Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) seeks a MS Business Consultant II to coordinate, install, and maintain distributed computer systems across state offices. The role involves assisting tax collectors with installations, troubleshooting, and security analyses in private tag agencies and driver license offices.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication required.
• Basic networking understanding needed.
• Experience supporting Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with desktop computer internals.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve computer problems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to install, configure, and manage software applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, install, implement, maintain, and support distributed computer systems (FRVIS/ORION/CAPTURE).
• Assist Operations Services Manager by helping tax collectors with system installation and issue resolution.
• Travel to State of Florida Tax Collector offices and partner with state and private organizations.
• Research, evaluate, and identify potential system and network problems and resolve issues.
• Develop problem-solving skills and engage with diverse stakeholders.
