Job summary

CACI International Inc. in the Bethesda area is seeking a Junior CNC Machinist with 1–3 years of experience to join a hands-on prototype shop.

You will set up vertical machining centers from CAM programs, select tools, read blueprints, and verify dimensions with precision measuring tools. The role requires working independently, safety awareness, and the ability to obtain/hold DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of CNC machining experience required.
• Ability to set up CNC VMCs from CAM programs and edit CAM output.
• Read blueprints/mechanical drawings with GD&T knowledge.
• DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the full range of machine tools in a prototype shop.
• Design and build fixtures to support precise machining.
• Select cutters/tool holders and verify dimensions with inspection tools.
• Maintain tolerances to ±0.001 and document results.
• Read verbal instructions and sketches, work independently.
