Job summary

Mide Technology is seeking a highly skilled CNC machinist to setup, program, and operate vertical mills and lathes for diverse materials. The role emphasizes reading drawings, adjusting feeds/spindles, and ensuring precision while minimizing tool wear and part loss.

The candidate should have MasterCam experience, extensive 10+ year CNC exposure, and US citizenship with ITAR familiarity. You'll work in a team-focused environment with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• MasterCam experience with minimum 3 years.
• HS diploma required; trade school/technical college a plus.
• 10+ years CNC mill and lathe experience required.
• US Citizen and able to pass background check; ITAR compliance.
• Haas/Fanuc i Series control experience required.
• Conversational knowledge of Proto Trak SLX controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC mills and lathes safely.
• Set up for prototypes, first articles and short production runs.
• Source material and tooling from approved vendors.
• Schedule machine repairs when needed.
• Assist Lathe Operators in the production cell.
• Read and interpret drawings, prints and MBD files.
• Maintain shop safety, order and cleanliness; manage time effectively.
• Participate in DFM discussions and manufacturing improvements.
• Mentor technicians and engineers on best practices.
