Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an entry level Machinist in Rocket Center, WV. You will operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes as well as manual machines to produce parts from blueprints, sketches or shop drawings, maintaining tight tolerances.

You will plan operations, select tooling, write simple programs for short runs when approved, and inspect parts using precision instruments to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2 years experience operating manual and/or CNC metal machining equipment.
• Ability to work all three shifts and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mills and CNC Lathes and manual lathes/mills to produce parts per drawings and tolerances.
• Plan sequences, select tooling, and set up to meet exact tolerances.
• Verify conformance of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
