Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a skilled Machinist (Level 2/3) in Promontory, UT for an onsite role. You will operate and set up CNC machines, run Mastercam programs, and inspect parts to tight tolerances while maintaining quality and safety on the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years on 3-axis CNC, familiarity with Siemens/Fanuc/HAAS, GD&T, blueprints, and Lean manufacturing. U.S. citizen with ability to obtain DoD clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Minimum 2-year technical degree or certificate in machine shop technology; read blueprints to spec.
• 2+ years’ experience on 3-axis CNC; 4/5 axis a plus; Mastercam CAM preferred.
• Experience running manual machines and set-ups; read production docs and drawings; GD&T proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final part inspections to ensure quality.
• Care and maintenance of CNC equipment and tooling.
• Provide setup training and guidance to operators; ensure tooling readiness and safety.
• Read blueprints, production specs, and tolerances; apply lean principles to shop floor.
