Job summary

Bohler’s Towson, MD office is seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer focused on land development. You’ll work with engineers, designers, and project managers on site planning, grading, utilities, and stormwater, gaining hands-on experience on real projects.

You’ll learn every stage of site design from concept through construction, using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and you’ll receive mentorship and professional development to build your engineering career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 0–1+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial site design and permitting experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (training provided if not yet proficient).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Motivation to take initiative and contribute to shared goals.
• EIT certification is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work on land development projects including commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed‑use sites.
• Learn every stage of site design from concept through construction with mentors.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create site layouts, grading plans, and utility designs.
• Research and interpret design manuals, zoning ordinances, and regulations.
• Review regulatory comments and assist with redesigns as needed.
• Assist with stormwater management reports and construction submittals.
• Participate in training through Bohler’s Learning & Development programs.
• Attend site visits to observe field conditions and coordinate with teams.
• Engage in professional and business organizations to build your network.
• Perform other responsibilities in accordance with company policies and standards.
