Job summary

Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in New York City seeks a Construction Project Manager to coordinate capital projects from planning to delivery. The role involves scheduling, cost control, contractor liaison, and progress reporting to ensure timely completion within budget.

Under supervision with independent judgement, you will manage MIS data, interact with city agencies and consultants, and support post-occupancy evaluations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, business administration or public administration from an accredited college or university.
• One year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work such as planning, administrating, managing, coordinating or expediting for engineering/architectural/landscape projects.
• Alternative: high school diploma plus five years of relevant experience; credit for college coursework towards a degree. Special note: design-focused experience not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a management information system for planning and control of project development.
• Establishes project time and cost schedules.
• Coordinates activities between persons, agencies, and departments responsible for project completion.
• Reviews schedules, reports, and orders to ensure conformance with project dates.
• Prepares management reports highlighting significant problems.
• Resolves schedule and cost-related problems.
• Meets with city agencies, contractors, and citizen groups.
• Assists in developing project scope with networks/facilities and develops conceptual estimates.
• Oversees consultant selection, contracting, and manages contracts.
• Conducts post-occupancy evaluations of facilities.
