Job summary

The Jewish Board is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager, Capital Projects to oversee day-to-day capital project sites in New York. You will ensure adherence to agency, city, and state standards and lead site visits, safety inspections and contractor oversight.

Responsibilities include tracking milestones, budgets and timelines, preparing site visit reports and coordinating with the Capital Projects team and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and relevant construction management training.
• Preferred completion of a course in construction management.
• OSHA 30 or better certification.
• Valid driver’s license is required for site travel.
• Experience in renovation of residential properties with clients in occupancy is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular field site visits to ensure compliance with agency, city, and state standards.
• Verify contracts, proposals and regulatory compliance; monitor safety and quality on site.
• Track progress, budgets and timelines; prepare site visit reports for Director, Capital Projects.
• Act as the primary field liaison between Capital Projects, contractors and stakeholders.
• Implement best practices and stay updated on all relevant standards and regulations.
