Job summary

AVMAC LLC is seeking a Junior Buyer to support the procurement team by assisting in purchasing, supplier relationships, and supporting the Purchasing Agent and Senior Buyer. This temporary, full-time position offers potential conversion to permanent status and involves FAR-compliant purchasing for MARAD programs.

Responsibilities include RFQ support, vendor coordination, shipment monitoring, documentation in FAR, and liaison with accounting on invoices and travel-related expenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and administrative duties.
• MS Office proficiency with intermediate MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Familiarity with NSE, Costpoint/Deltek and ADP software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in purchasing RFQs and procurement actions to support MARAD RRF program.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and team members.
• Monitor shipments and follow up on undelivered items to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain receiving documentation in accordance with FAR.
• Reconcile vendor invoices with accounting for payments.
