Job summary

Turbine Air Systems, Ltd. in Houston, TX, is seeking a proactive Buyer I to support procurement for engineered-to-order modular solutions, including data centers, packaged air and power plants.

You will manage supplier selection, purchase orders and ERP/MRP-driven processes. This role requires strong communication, organization and the ability to work under pressure with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to maintain schedule and quality.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in purchasing/expediting in a custom engineered manufacturing organization to order/make to order ERP/MRP driven manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of general manufacturing practices, policies and processes.
• APICS CPIM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain frequent communication with suppliers from order placement to receipt to ensure quality and schedules are met.
• Develop and monitor supplier recovery plans for quality issues or schedule delays.
• Solicit and review supplier quotations and support prequalification of suppliers.
• Reconcile BOMs to planned orders and issue POs, resolving discrepancies with Purchasing/Configuration Management.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data accuracy and supplier performance metrics.
