Job summary

TAS is seeking a Buyer I to support procurement for engineered-to-order modular projects, including datacenters and power systems. The role involves sourcing, supplier development, and ensuring contractual compliance in an MRP-driven environment.

You will maintain supplier communications, monitor quotations, and resolve discrepancies, working with ERP/MRP processes and cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of purchasing/expediting in a custom engineered manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of general manufacturing practices and processes.
• Experience with MRO purchasing, electrical commodities and equipment is a plus.
• APICS CPIM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain frequent communication with suppliers from order placement to receipt.
• Develop and monitor supplier recovery plans for quality or delays.
• Review supplier quotations and assist qualification of potential suppliers.
• Reconcile BOMs to planned orders and resolve discrepancies with PM/Purchasing.
• Maintain supplier PO promise dates and ERP material receipt.
• Advise leadership on non-standard contractual issues posing risk.
