Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Business Analyst to support federal and financial-regulator-facing initiatives. You will map current and future processes, elicit requirements, and document processes across multiple Agile workstreams. Strong BPMN/UML skills and a US citizenship are required.

The role emphasizes stakeholder interviews, documentation, and preparation for sprint planning. Public Trust clearance is a key prerequisite, with preference for candidates who already hold it.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust; adjudication required prior to onboarding.
• US Citizen required.
• 2+ years of business analysis or process improvement experience.
• Knowledge of BPMN, UML, swim-lanes, and journey mapping.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies is a plus.
• Experience supporting federal agencies or financial regulators is a plus.

Job description

• Support business process discovery, stakeholder engagement, process mapping, requirements gathering, and documentation across multiple Agile workstreams


• Assist senior analysts in developing current-state and future-state process documentation


• Identify opportunities for process improvement


• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshop support activities


• Develop and maintain As-Is and To-Be process documentation


• Create process maps, swim lanes, journey maps, and workflow diagrams


• Capture requirements, business rules, and operational procedures


• Document roles, responsibilities, dependencies, and pain points


• Support business process analysis and recommendation development


• Maintain project repositories and process documentation


• Assist with sprint planning and backlog development activities


• Support executive briefing development and meeting preparation

Requirements

• Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD \"PUBLIC TRUST\"; approved adjudication required prior to onboarding


• Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred


• Must be a US Citizen


• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Operations, or related field


• Two (2+) plus years of business analysis or process improvement experience


• Knowledge of requirements elicitation techniques


• Familiarity with BPMN, UML, swim-lanes, and journey mapping


• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products


• Experience supporting federal agencies or financial regulators is nice to have


• Exposure to Agile project delivery methodologies is nice to have


• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools is nice to have


• Experience supporting data-intensive or analytical organizations is nice to have


• Interest in process improvement and modernization initiatives is nice to have
