Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I in Baltimore to maintain and troubleshoot building systems, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical networks. The role handles routine maintenance, tenant requests, and safety compliance under senior engineers’ guidance.

Responsibilities include responding to service requests, performing inspections, replacing components, and maintaining records. On-call rotations and collaboration with property teams are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related experience or equivalent certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national regulations.
• CFC Certification preferred for this role.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; BAS operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment faults and escalate as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters and other components as required.
• Maintain records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections and assist with preventive maintenance; oversee contractors.
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; comply with OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA; report hazards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; support recovery during severe weather.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; collaborate with senior engineers.
• Pursue professional development with senior engineers.
