Job summary

AECOM in Glen Allen, Virginia, is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Bridge Engineer to join project teams from concept to detailed design. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio and gain exposure to design and delivery across highway, railroad, and pedestrian bridges.

You will work with senior engineers to develop calculations, plans and construction documents using MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenBridge, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• Valid US Driver's License and pass Motor Vehicle Records review.
• Experience with bridge design software and familiarity with AASHTO/bridge practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structural analysis and design of bridges per standards.
• Prepare calculations, reports, and documentation under supervision.
• Develop bridge plans using MicroStation, AutoCAD, OpenBridge or similar tools.
• Support bridge load ratings, inspections and condition assessments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in field activities.
