Job summary

SBR Events Group is seeking a Bookkeeper I in Wood Dale, IL to support the catering and restaurant divisions with routine bookkeeping and invoicing. This entry-level role posts transactions to Caterease and QuickBooks, reconciles accounts, and assists the AP Specialist with weekly payments.

You will perform administrative duties in the accounting office and help ensure accurate month-end close under the Accounting Director’s review. This is a Tier 1 position in the bookkeeper career path.

Qualifications

• Entry-level bookkeeping responsibilities with posting to journals and software.
• Familiarity with Caterease and QuickBooks preferred.
• Ability to reconcile accounts and prepare client invoices.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Receivable: Prepare and distribute invoices from event orders and contracts.
• Post receivables for catering, restaurant, and sauce divisions; deposit cash receipts.
• Accounts Payable: assist with invoices, three-way matching, and vendor payments.
• Administrative duties: filing, mail distribution, and compliance with policies.
• Support monthly revenue reconciliations and government reporting as directed.
