Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a senior data analyst to analyze operational data, derive actionable insights, and guide capabilities across multiple programs in Houston. You will build ETL/ELT pipelines, develop KPIs, and create Power BI dashboards that enable decision-making and readiness analytics.

The role requires strong SQL, Databricks, Python/R skills, and experience with NLP/LLMs. Collaboration with stakeholders and documentation of methodologies are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL and relational schemas.
• Hands-on Databricks and Apache Spark experience, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming in Python or R.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, data quality checks, and reproducible pipelines.
• Experience building visuals with Power BI and DAX fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Knowledge of NLP and Large Language Models and related data needs.
• Ability to translate mission needs into data requirements and analyses.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data and derive actionable insights for stakeholders and partners.
• Serve as data analytics lead across multiple projects and guide product performance.
• Develop and implement metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs.
• Create and maintain documentation and data artifacts.
