Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced data analytics professional in Texas to analyze operational data, build pipelines, and deliver actionable insights for stakeholders. You will serve as a primary analytics contact across multiple projects, guide product performance, and develop KPIs using SQL Server, Databricks, and Power BI.

Applicants should have 5–7 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Python or R, and familiarity with NLP/LLMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Bachelor's degree with 1–2 years in quantitative science or related discipline.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL and relational schemas.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark preferred).
• Foundational programming skills in Python or R for analysis and ML workflows.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling basics, and version control.
• Experience building visual analytics with Power BI and DAX fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflows.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and derive actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Serve as the data analytics contact across projects and guide product performance improvements.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights around operations and project data.
• Develop and implement new KPIs and supporting scripts.
• Code to segment populations from large enterprise datasets and output per specs.
• Create and maintain documentation and artifacts for transparency.
• Ad hoc tool development to support analytical areas.
• Learn emerging technologies and systems for company initiatives.
• Support team communication, meetings, and strategy implementation.
• Manage project data acquisition, integration from multiple sources, and readiness analytics.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks with Spark/PySpark.
• Maintain curated, analysis-ready datasets with data quality and lineage.
• Optimize data processing performance and monitoring of recurring workloads.
• Apply statistical methods and ML to generate forecasts and predictive analytics for missions.
• Create dashboards and semantic models in Power BI and integrate with Power Apps/Power Automate.
• Prepare unstructured data for language-focused use cases and experiments with LLMs.
• Document data sources, transformations, and methodologies for continuity.
