Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a junior- to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer to perform software systems engineering for the acquisition, development and sustainment of various aviation programs. This position requires full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD.
Active Secret Clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret clearance after beginning this work. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for
Qualifications
- Two years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
- Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
- Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
- Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
- Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
- Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
