Job summary

Universal Instruments in the United States seeks an entry‑level Application Engineer to support customers, the sales team, and the product group. You will learn to tailor UIBU solutions to customer needs and assist before and after a sale to ensure understanding and timely resolution.

This role involves evaluating applications, creating quotations, supporting installations, and contributing to trade shows. 0–2 years in capital goods with CAD skills (SolidWorks, PTC Creo) and MS Office are

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 0–2 years of experience within capital goods.
Experience with CAD design tools such as SolidWorks and PTC Creo is preferred
Ability to complete solutions line drawings for field sales / customers.
Automation equipment programming and debugging aptitude is preferred.
MS Office Suite proficiency is expected.

Responsibilities

Review customer products and processes against UIBU solution approaches to identify potential savings.
Collaborate with Sr. Applications Engineers to engage sales and customers on pre-sale or post-sale issues.
Learn to evaluate priorities for product applications and modifications with respect to timelines and resources.
Assist Sales with technical customer presentations and acceptance criteria.
Develop quotations including development time, cost and schedule; justify with Sr. Engineering.
