Universal Instruments in the United States is seeking a software engineer to design and develop computer software systems for advanced automation assembly equipment. The role involves hands-on work in engineering labs to implement algorithms that enhance existing features and create new solutions.

The ideal candidate has a background in computer science or electrical engineering with 0–2 years of experience, strong C/C++ skills, and familiarity with embedded toolchains and microcontrollers.

Competenze

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field; 0–2 years of experience.
• Experience with C/C++ development in embedded environments.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded toolchains is preferred.

Mansioni

• Design and code software subsystems for automated equipment.
• Learn and integrate new hardware, software protocols and engineering tools.
• Develop firmware for embedded systems and coordinate tasks for axes and IO.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Q&R on requirements, testing and development.
