Job summary

LECHLER is seeking an entry-level Jr. Application Engineer in Missouri. You will support the review of customer requirements and help prepare technical sales proposals under senior staff guidance, with focus on Industrial, Process Technology, and Metallurgical markets.

The role provides training to develop toward a full Application Engineer position, involving data gathering, CAD tool usage (AutoCAD/Inventor), and cross-functional coordination with Engineering and Project teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Internships/Co-ops accepted as experience.
• Proficient reading and interpreting technical literature.
• Ability to travel occasionally within North America.

Responsibilities

• Assist in proposal lifecycle and preliminary option calculations.
• Gather data to support technical responses and cost estimates.
• Support field measurements and engineering commissioning with senior staff.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Project teams to ensure accurate transfer of requirements.
