Job summary

LECHLER INC in St Charles, IL is seeking a dedicated engineer to manage mechanical design and projects from concept through commissioning. You will lead efforts to design skids, lances, headers, showers, and systems, coordinating with design engineers, suppliers and customers to resolve complex problems.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 1+ year of experience, strong knowledge of piping systems, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of practical engineering experience in manufacturing or a similar industry.
• Proficiency in English; German/Spanish is a plus.
• Knowledge of piping design and fabrication is preferred.
• Experience with piping and pumping systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and standards.
• Develop project objectives and plan with management.
• Determine project schedule and stakeholders; manage activities.
• Perform mechanical calculations for liquids and gases in pipes (sizes, pressure, velocity).
• Specify equipment to meet Lechler standards and customer needs.
• Coordinate communication with all project stakeholders; maintain schedule.
• Apply design standards to select cost-effective fabrication methods.
• Develop and apply Lechler standards and test procedures; validate performance.
• Create process flow diagrams for automation/PLC programming of fluid handling equipment.
• Commission projects with mechanical and electrical components; document results.
