RTX is seeking a Mechanical - Thermal Engineer to join the Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) Department in Tucson. You will work on products through their lifecycle from initial design trade studies to qualification testing and production support, joining a team of 200+ engineers in a global environment.

You will perform thermal analyses, develop test plans, and validate models while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting field activities worldwide.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) obtained by start date.
• Experience in thermal design and analysis.
• Experience with FloTHERM, PATRAN, Thermal Desktop/SINDA, or ANSYS.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hand calculations and determine requirements for higher order detailed analysis
• Perform detailed thermal analyses to solve various program thermal design challenges
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware compliance to requirements
• Support test setup and execution, analyze test data, correlate and validate thermal models
• Work with experienced engineers on problems of moderate complexity to provide solutions within program cost and schedule constraints
• Coordinate and lead technical peer reviews ensuring the technical accuracy of work product
• Present results to internal stakeholders and external customers
• Generate detailed, archival technical reports
