RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Structural Engineer to contribute to the Mechanical Analysis and Test (MA&T) Department. You will work on products through their lifecycle, from design trade studies to qualification testing and production support, joining 200+ engineers dedicated to innovative structural solutions.

The role offers an onsite position with opportunities to engage in cutting-edge methods and travel to support program activities, as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience in structural design and analysis.
• Experience with PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABAQUS or equivalent software.

Responsabilidades

• Perform hand calculations and higher-order analyses as required.
• Conduct detailed structural analyses to address design challenges.
• Develop test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware against requirements.
• Analyze test data to validate models and generate mechanical loads.
• Coordinate peer reviews to ensure technical accuracy of work products.
• Present results to internal stakeholders and external customers.
