ASR International Corporation is seeking a Jr. Accounting Specialist at its Corporate Headquarters in Hauppauge, NY. This entry-level role supports the accounting team with reports, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing while offering on-the-job training for the right candidate.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred; high school diploma accepted.
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply and ASR willing to train the right candidate.
• 1–2 years of experience using ADP software desirable; ASR willing to train further.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and other applications desirable.
• Working understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with the accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and tax payments.
• Reconcile payroll before transmission and validate reports.
• Prepare and submit invoices ensuring timely entry and payment of bills.
• Assist in collecting employee timesheets and entering them into payroll system.
• Prepare payroll and coordinate with outside payroll service.
• Prepare detailed journal entries and month-end reconciliation.
• Account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of transactions.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts monthly.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
